I looked at my office planner yesterday and it said Patriot Day so I wore my only sports jersey... well whoops, I guess I had the wrong idea.

Morning everyone.
Of course Wesley does feel some sorrow remembering the horrors from many years ago. I had a sister in-law at that time who was in one of World Trade Center buildings that fell (not one of the twin towers) and she was preggers at the time. For several hours she was not in contact with anyone so it was a little crazy. Well on the ride in I heard Czaban talk about those fighting freedom for this country because of 9/11 and this really pissed me off when I think of the lives lost in the name of 9/11 when our thankless troops were sent out to find those who caused 9/11 but they were sent to the wrong country to escort trucks.

To close for comfort....the young man that took my wife to her prom (yes, I married a Long Island girl- Wantagh) was a NYC police officer and he died that day. She did not maintain the friendship, but she kept trying to get a hold of his parents and I kept reassuring her that he was just helping out and would be fine....one of her friends was a teacher at Leckie Elementary and was chaperoning some kids on the plane that hit the pentagon....again, to close for comfort...such sadness....but that day also produced one of my favorite/inspirational graffiti's that was found near the Trade Centers: You are still alive!

was right about H.R. Just think about the name, "Human Resources." It really devalues us. We're not people, we're resources. We're no different from a copier, except you can't just call a repairman.
